Version 5003 | 16.19 MB | 2023/10/23
- Update AGESA version to ComboV2PI 1.2.0.B
- Update AMD 5000/3000 Series CPU fTPM version, please back up Bitlocker recovery key before updating this version BIOS
And here I am with my Crosshair VIII Hero still on 4601.
Do the “mitigations for vulnerability” impact the performance of 5800x3d in any meaningful way in gaming? I’m talking about cpu limited scenarios, such as flight sims
It should not impact it meaningfully. Sounds like this may finally be a years late fix (everyone else did already/never had) for fTPM stutter.
If I’m on windows 11 home, am I able to update to 5003 if I don’t use BitLocker? I tried to use it, got the warning screen saying it will ask for a bitlocker key, so I hit “N” and went back to the previous bios
Is there any meaningful reason to upgrade to this version?
Could someone post a capture of Windows “security processor details” after the update here? I am curious to see what are the new version. I could maybe finally ditch my discrete TPM
I wiped out my TPM by accident
, but was able to login with it off.
Then renabled TPM and it works.
