Hey, I’ve got a question about iPhone charging safety. If I borrow someone’s original Apple charger and lightning cable, is there any risk of transferring viruses or compromising my data security? Can using another person’s charging gear pose any potential threats to my device? Sorry for this (probably stupid) post but my brain doesn’t seem to allow me a peaceful sleep until I find the answer. Have a nice day !

I deliberately decided not to mention that since it’s so extremely unlikely and OP already seems paranoid to be struggling with paranoia.

A genuine cable and charger isn’t a risk. That said, if you’re borrowing from someone tech savvy and malicious (possibly a stranger) it is possible to build/buy a device that looks genuine but contains a payloadof some type.
