Over the last few months there have been several Amazon US listings for various Sapphire GPUs with big discounts, usually around 45-55% off~

These listings are scams, Sapphire have confirmed so via posts on their Twitter/X account.

Hi SAPPHIRE NATION, please be aware that there is a scam being run on Amazon US store showing large discounts on a few SAPPHIRE GPU products - Ships from/Sold by “an unverified seller’s name” (this seller name may periodically change as well). This is NOT a verified seller.

We’ve been getting questions again recently regarding the scam sellers on Amazon. We want to once again remind everyone looking to purchase GPUs from Amazon. Please CHECK that the box specifying “Ships from / Sold by” both indicate http://Amazon.com and not another seller.

Please exercise due diligence and caution.

    I noticed through Black Friday weekend there were some products with big discounts on Amazon (UK) but the cheapest seller by a small margin often turned out to be a scam store - RIP to anyone who received a small brick instead of a GPU.

    I have two rules:

    Avoid buying something not sold by Amazon.

    Never buy something not delivered by Amazon.

    At least if it’s wrong or fake you can send it back and get your monies back with no hassle.

    Same thing in New Zealand with 4090 listings at half price. Some are reputable accounts that have been hacked which makes it worse.
