AMOLED themes in Android apps exist, because of power savings, burn-in reduction, and aesthetics, so why not guarantee that everyone (even those not on Steam Decks with SteamOS) get to use it? Decky Loader is only usable on SteamOS on Steam Deck…

“Decky Loader is only intended for use with the installation of SteamOS provided on Steam Deck. HoloISO and other SteamOS third-party distributions are not officially supported and may not work with Decky Loader. We have no plans to support other operating systems.”

Maybe it’s just me, but a change of some dark hex values to #000000 or #000 is so simple that a Valve employee could do this in maybe five minutes flat?

I know they already recently darkened the home and library UIs and a few other areas, but not everything, such as the side menus, as they still are a dark cyan.

The only other thing is perhaps theming KDE Plasma and browser apps too. I was able to accomplish an AMOLED look fairly easily thanks to KDE’s design and browser extensions, but it took a while, searching and trying different themes for each component of KDE Plasma and for Firefox and Chrome.
