Don’t panic, it will only only explode in theory, I’ve never seen it happen. I used to constantly reset the bulb timer on projectors, supposedly those will explode too. Just throw away the battery. Bring it to the bin at Best Buy if you want to want to make which landfill it ends up in someone else’s problem.
