How much will the phone drop in price? I need a new phone but don’t want to spend to much. Waiting for S24 ultra is not an option, it will be to expensiv at the beginning and I think S23 Ultra is the best phone you can buy atm.

I could buy the 8gb RAM version for 1000€ on Amazon but I guess it will go down further on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. The 12gb version costs 1180€ which is out of my budget.

I use my phone daily, very little gaming and mainly youtube netflix and other social media on the go. Would you recommend the 8 or 12gb RAM version. The normal S23 is “only” 650€ is that a good deal? How would it compare to my current S10+. I do like the bigger screen and don’t want to miss that but 350€ cheaper is a lot.

For your use case, I would say 8gb of RAM is good enough for media consumption. The screen size on your S10+ is close to the S23+ so if you’re comfortable with the S10+ screen size it’s just a tiny bit bigger on the S23+. The S23 Ultra is quite big and boxy but if you use your phone to watch videos a lot you might like its big size.

The price difference between all the S23 models comes down to how much you value their size and maybe battery too. Bigger models have bigger batteries but also bigger displays. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip is great at performance and battery but if you charge your phone through the night when you sleep, the battery shouldn’t be a problem to last you the whole day.

Good points all around. Worth mentioning that the S23 Plus display is 1080p, which is a negative for some, but in other ways a better compromise for battery performance to accommodate the larger screen. So in my case, choosing between the base and the Plus, I wanted the bigger battery capacity for (hopefully) slower degradation over the years.

If you don’t care for the greatest and latest Samsung still sells the S22 Ultra.
