Hey all! I need the hive mind lol.

So I got Diablo 4 on my steam deck a week ago, and have had many issues playing it. It stutters, lags horribly, rubber bands constantly, and will freeze. Any time I fight enemies, it freezes so bad that by the time it catches up, I’m dead. I immediately lowered all my settings for graphics and gameplay as low as they go, and that helped very little. I was reading previous posts on Reddit with fixed people were having when the game first came out that supposedly fixed the issue but have had no luck. I am so confused because when you just google how Diablo runs on steam deck everyone pretty much says great on high settings for graphics, excellent on medium settings. What am I doing wrong?? And please explain to me like I’m an idiot and a child, I am still fairly new to the steam deck as well and am not very technologically intuitive. Thank you all in advance… I’m desperate to get this game working and playable!

I played via the blizzard launcher around the time it came out and thought it was a pretty damn solid experience.

So I play Diablo 4 on my Xbox and it’s awfully laggy this season. The performance generally has gotten a lot worse since the new season started. So I honestly don’t think it’s an issue with the deck (depending on your settings)but more an issue with the game at the moment. Hope that helps.

Something that helped me was if you make sure to toggle that battle.net closes in background when you launch game. If it’s running it seems to mess with, and you have to toggle the setting specifically.
