Every time i get together with my friends to play some fighting games we are at the mercy of which console the house owner have. Instead of having to buy the same games for PS4, PS5 and xbone, the idea came out of using my Steam Deck. I have a huge collection of both old and new fighting games on steam, so Id only need to carry it and a dock around every time we get together.

So my main question is, does this idea makes sense, lol?
Follow up question is: Im sure i can connect both ps4/5 and xbox controllers to my steam deck, but, can I connect a standard Fight Stick (I got a Universal Arcade Stick F500 Elite that works perfectly on my PC) on the dock’s usb ports?

Yeah it works. I use it to lab while traveling and the input lag is negligible. Third party sticks work fine, I plug in the snack box micro while sitting on the plane so presumably anything with brooks boards should work fine as well.

The local multiplayer stuff on steam deck, especially local multiplayer with emulators, you gotta test it all out first because it’s not a plug play experience like the major consoles. You may to troubleshoot something’s and I dunno if once solution will work across all games.
