I modded mine day one with copper heater. My goal was to play one game, fallout 1, and played it then little by little, move up the graphic games requirements to ace combat and cp 2077. zero issue. I now modded mine with 4tb storage in nvme 2280 (allowed by the use of spigen hard case and the screws not completely in) and a 1tb sdxc card with ubuntu on it. It is my main computer. If I had to do it again, is to wait a couple of days for the thermal mod. I like the silence of the fan. But I don´´t know by how much I gained in battery life and silence. Perhaps a few minutes of life and a peak thermal that occurs a little bit later than most.
