Hi everyone,

I have never used apple before but I’m considering, I really need a tablet that will last me 7+ years with mostly media consumption (YouTube, Netflix, reading manga, watching anime) and your occasional word typing and stuff.

I also want a tablet that has good battery life, good specs and great optimization of apps as I love to personalise my devices. I’m used to android as I do have an android phone. But I don’t mind experiencing the best of both worlds.

    Most will recommend an ipad ,but in last years, android tablets did catch up a bit .i own an ipad Pro m1 and a xiaomi pad6 Pro …Tbh the 700€ spent on ipad is not better at all than 350€ (aliexpress)spend on xiaomi pad …i use them for games ,youtube,media,…other options are samsung tab s8,9 but they cost the same as an ipad air/pro You decide what ecosystem u like

    Go for the S8 for media consumption. It will last for a long time and Samsung has way more customization than Apple. The aspect ratio of Samsung tablets is much better for what you want and you also have Dex if you ever need it and the SPen that’s included.
