I heard that A52S was better performing due to the Snapdragon processor than the A52.I am planning to buy a new phone and was interested in A54,but it has Exynos chip .Does anyone have any idea when A54S will be released .I can’t get reliable information from Google, just speculations

I doubt Samsung will release an A54s. They didn’t release an A53s last year. Now that s23fe has been launched, which is about 100 more than A54, I assume Samsung would prefer people buy that model instead of releasing a new A54 model with an improved processor.

They’re probably not keen anymore to release a revisioned variant of their “best” midrange model. The A52S was so successful, popular and capable that iy rendered their entire next generation of midrange offerings almost redundant and not as good. Probably ate away their potential revenue because of it.

Yeah I am still using A52S. Still looking for good replacement from Samsung but not yet available.

I still think they haven’t been able to make amends with the A52S. The S21FE wasn’t all that much better given the price hike except for better cameras (always nice). But at its price, people were willing to just splurge for the flagship or a previous year’s flagship. The A73 was a glorified A52S with a bigger screen but with a bigger price tag so that’s not doing it either. Even the A54 still had the A52S in discussions. It really was too good of a midranger.

I don’t use phone for gaming ,and my current A52 does the job for me ,never had issue .But after 2 years battery suddenly started draining away quickly .For the first year and half it lasted 1.5 days on full charge …now it barely lasts for half or 3/4th day …if not A54 ,I was thinking of M53 5g,its I think for Indian Market, but battery is 6000 mah, rest of the specs similar to A54 ,only issue I am.in UAE where M series is officially not sold ,I can get it online ,but worried about repair, warranty.Next options are either A73 (this is 1.5 times price of A54 ,5000 mah)or S23 fe (twice the price of A54,but battery is 4500 mah).My thought is if I am willing to pay A73 pay 500 dhirams and get S23fe instead,

In use never buy m series if i had to take a choice between A54 and M53 i would choose A54 just for the warranty but the screen is only 6.4 not 6.5 or 6.6 if you get M53 it will not have warranty and it will get rejected by samsung repair centre get something either A54 or A34 and get it in person from a official samsung store maybe use fazza if you know a friend who has it do you want a phone with 256 gb and a 6.4 screen or a 6.6 with 128 if you choose 256 get the A54 i own the A34 it overheats from google meet which is stupid that why i don’t recommend buying this year phones also there is reports of A54 overheating

yeah warranty and repair were my main concern, with m series, .That’s why my initial choice was A54 ,I thought I will just stick to mid range phones ,in Samsung series and just trade in my old device and buy a new mid range every 2 years. I actually try to buy from big stores like sharafdg, but price is 1250 aed for A54 in them ,where as online on Amazon and noon cheapest is 1080 Aed .almost 150 to 180 aed difference .in the official Samsung uae website the price is 1150 if I am not mistaken, but its been out of stock for weeks now to order on it.I plan to get 256 gb A54 .

A54S is the need of the hour but I doubt they will ever make it because then nobody will buy their higher end models, Given that the Snapdragon 7Gen Processors are only 590k Anttutu vs the Exynos 510k+ benchmarks I’m also convinced that performance wise there could be a slight improvement but not enough to buy one if you already have a A54 - if they give UFS3.1 instead of 2.2 only then it is going to be a viable upgrade.

My best bet is S21 Ultra. It’s really cheap (490 cad) and it’s gonna be just as good as any A series. It has support till next year. Be sure to get the G998W version or some other that has snapdragon. I use an S21+. It’s great, just try it. If you want a cheaper one, S21+ is 317 cad.

You might have seen my conversation with someone here who was defending the mid range phones against the flagships. He noted that the A51 (which I had and had absolutely trash performance) and the A52 were bad, but the A52s was good AND so were the newer Exynos A53, A54.

I would buy a refurbed S21 Ultra that gets only one less year of updates (correct me if I’m wrong) or maybe just go with the A54 if the performance of that seems fine.

The a52s completely outperformed the 3rd gen of the a series due to the snapdragon chip, they’re likely enough to not use it again although hopefully samsung will put snapdragon in the 5th gen of a series phones and unless you desperately need a new phone, i’d wait to get the a55 as it will be out around mid march (probably).
