Hey r/AppleWatch,
I hacked together a free iOS app to track my own health and fitness, things like Body Battery, Fitness age, Sleep Score and other stuff. I’ve been struggling with some chronic illnesses and wanted more insights into my body bc doctors were telling me I’m fine and I wasn’t.
I used AI tools to help me build it, since I have zero coding skills. It’s a super basic but it works. I was using it for me but maybe it will be useful for you too. It’s totally free, no logins needed, no shady stuff, no tracking whatsoever. Just basic stuff and calculations.
Some of the key features:
- Body battery feature that tracks your energy levels
- Personalised stress score
- Fatmax and heart rate zones calculated just for you
- Fitness age that shows your fitness level
- Custom sleep score
- Weekly tally of time spent in zone 2 heart rate for cardio fitness (good for you)
- Count of times you hit your max heart rate during workouts (good for your heart)
- Rest and recovery time recommendations based on your workouts
Upcoming improvements:
- Apple Watch app. Apple is weird, not all health features are available on Watch, so for now iPhone is doing the calculations. Apple watch is more like external monitor, not computer.
- Sleep apnea detection by tracking breathing disturbances.
- More detailed sleep stage and sleep quality tracking.
- Tools for monitoring and alerting chronic conditions and suicide risk.
- Health data export so you can print it and get it to your doctor.
I know it’s nothing fancy! But it’s been cool to see the data and get insights I couldn’t see before. My health is confusing and this helps me start to unravel things.
Let me know if you have any feedback! I’m just an average Joe trying to monitor my health better. Not an expert developer or anything. It took me half a year and 5 complete rewrites to build it. I’m open to ideas to improve it and maybe even help others some day.

Now it needs some visuals and a watch companion app and we’re talking 😉
