While I think the current deck is great for what it is, I do hope we can get an improved deck sooner rather than later. With all of the new handhelds coming out and bigger games releasing the deck has started to feel a little dated in my eyes and I would love some new hardware. List of changes I would love to see:
Improved APU, Bezeless OLED vrr screen (smaller deck same 7”), Two USB4 ports with egpu support, Much improved dpad, Docked vs handheld performance profiles, Alt sleep mode that allows downloading/bluetooth, Built in video recorder, Better keyboard support, Faster UI
i’ve had mine for coming up to a year now, and i’d like to keep the one i have for another few before seeing a revision…unfortunately some people don’t have the expendable income others do, so while i agree on some things (the battery could be improved), some of these could actually be implemented through software updates, even the dpad could be revised and be made available through ifixit?
