Hello.

I have had an old asus laptop for about 10years and its coming to the end of its terms.

I want to purchase a new laptop so that I can download 3-6 programs on it for my coding work such as mysql bench and perhaps some python programs

What sort of ram and gb storage should i be looking for please

    For what you want? Intel Core i5 and above, at least 16GB ram, 256GB HD and above (I personally don’t care about storage because I have a terabyte on my Google Drive and another on my OneDrive), then slap your favorite Linux distro on it and you’re ready to go.

    MacBooks are great in every way but if you want to upgrade ram or storage that’s where it gets pricey because Apple wants to charge $200 for more storage or ram
