So I’m looking into upgrading my S21 Ultra (Exynos) but I’m undecided between buying the S23U on black friday or waiting for the S24U.

If the S24U comes with Exynos in Europe I’ll instantly decide on the S23U but I don’t think Samsung has confirmed it yet.

In this sammobile article, it says:

There’s no Exynos Galaxy S24 Ultra – all countries will get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Samsung hasn’t outright confirmed it but has hinted that is going to be the case, and there are no signs of a non-Snapdragon Galaxy S24 Ultra in benchmarks or anywhere else where we generally get to find out processor details for upcoming Samsung smartphones.

They make a good point but is it safe to assume that the S24 will have the SD in Europe?

I wouldn’t want to miss the black friday sale on the S23U and end up regretting it when they announce the S24U specs and it turns out to be an Exynos chip.

If it is, then I’m happy to sit this one out. Never bought an even numbered Samsung, when the following odd numbered one is the refined and upgraded version. But one of the reasons I bought the S23 Ultra was for the Snapdragon. My previous experiences with Exynos has been lacklustre and being geo-locked to it is bullshit. Even if the new chip turns out to be ok, I’d be happy to sit on the S23 Ultra while they make it better, it still feels like a new phone to me and we’ve just got the latest Android OS too
