I’vE notice an huge battery drain after updating my ultra 1 to watch os 10.1

Yesterday at 00.30 am I had about 65%, this morning at 6 am the watch was off with no battery remaining (only used for sleep tracking with default sleep app)

Charged for 30min and was at 50% now after 5 hours is at 24%

Same here, although not as drastic. Lost around 30% in the last 6 hours on my S7

I’m having the same issue. I have a s6 and was using snoopy face. Once I changed to a photo face (night mode) the drain was way less. Hoping for a fix soon as I miss the snoopy face

Honestly I seem to be having the opposite with my Ultra1. After the 10.0 update my battery took a slight hit and was no longer giving the 48+ hours between charges, but I updated to 10.1 yesterday at 4:11 pm(16:11) and here about 21 hours later I’m still at 72%. Not doing anything differently; sleep monitoring, always on display is on, using weather widgets, etc.

Ultra 1 here. My battery is draining at least 5x the normal rate with 10.1. Today it lasted for 12 hours and the watch was warm to the touch. It usually lasts 2 whole days and 2 whole nights, and then some (on 10.0 and earlier).

Goddamn it. Why is my battery losing its charge when I use it? It’s another apple scam to power my device!

Ultra updated to 10.1 last night. Pulled off charger at 5am with 100% charge, 6 hours later battery is down to 96%.

Short story 2 watches series 7 & 9 Both updated to 10.1 Both dying around 3 hours from 100% Tried restore. Didn’t help Spoke with Apple technician via phone recommended deleting all third party apps. Success 2% drain in 45 minutes.

Yeah. That’s my plan. I’m not panicking, but having had Apple Watches for years, this is the first time it’s happened to me.

Right now, I’ve restarted it and it’s now charging, albeit very slowly for some reason.

Yes but 70% in 6 hours without always on display active and no notification received I think is too much

Nah, this is different than the usual slightly worse battery life after updating. I’m losing 10% every 20 minutes without any complications or anything but it being on my wrist. I was losing battery on the charger last night. Something going on with this update.

Actually, it might be more serious than I thought - I literally cannot get it to charge now. It got to 20% but has since dropped to 18% - it’s draining faster than it will charge.

I have the same issue with my series 8. It has a 100% battery health but it drained to 0 in like 6 hours for some reason on 10.1
