Mines been terrible since updating to 10.1 last night. The battery dropped 25% in six hours while I was sleeping with sleep focus on and 13% in the last 45 minutes while I’ve been awake.

I’m having the same issue with my Ultra 2. Massive battery drain and also certain faces stuck in a low resolution state (earth, moon). Also having issues with certain watch faces not loading various complications. (Modular Ultra, solar and others) I’m also finding the Smart Stack is glitching horribly when accessed from these faces too. Double tap not working properly. General frame rate when using the watch is very low. The list goes on. Terrible, terrible update. I hope they fix it asap - until then do not update!

Literally plugged my 13 pro max and just started updating (I hope iOS 17.1 is alright :( )right before I planned to plug my Series 8 in and update that as well… thank you for posting this, you saved me a headache, already so frustrated with my battery brain… and yes I removed the weather from my watch face the moment I heard of the battery drain a month ago, or however long it’s been. It still drains super fast.

I used to get 2 days out of my Series 8, now I only get one day, which isn’t bad I guess but annoying, I now charge it at a weirdly exact interval, around 3pm everyday!

Yes its bad right now I have an S8 and updated last night, went to bed at 60% in sleep mode and woke up dead, when usually its 7-8% over night. Also the charging has been super slow compared to normal, with the cable it came with it charges crazy fast, now its just slow hope they fix this, this is the first time I’ve had any battery drain like this.

My AWU Ultra is fine but I did do a hard reset and not restore from backup this week to clear a battery issue and it was successful.

I can suggest a full wipe and fresh setup.

I was on the 10.1 beta and it was absolutely horrendous. My ultra that lasts several days was lasting 5 hours. It was so bad. Got off the beta instantly after that

Noticed my AWU battery dropping faster with the iOS 17.1 update when I hadn’t updated the watch. Usually I charge it every 3 days, but since the update I’ve had to charge it after 2.

Not as extreme as some others here, but still noticeable. Going to see what happens when I do update the watch 😬

On your iPhone, open Watch app. Click on General and scroll down to bottom to diagnostic logs. Click. If there are problems with your watch, this is where the information is written that developers want to access. This comes from years of being a tech analyst. lol. Open one. You can see at the top of the log that it is on 10.1 and the build should be (21S67). This is the same bug that was in 10.1 beta two that was patched in 10.1 beta three. My guess is they forgot to patch the release candidate.

The last one for me was 5 days ago. As it stands now, my watch died yesterday with almost no notifications. I watched it rapidly drain. I thought it was because I have an S5, but seeing people report this issue with an ultra is insane. I’m basically living on low power mode in hopes that helps even slightly but ive already missed important messages so I’m kind of stuck with having to turn it on or turn my ringer on, something I haven’t needed to do since I got my series 1 watch.

I’ve basically left mine off of the charger and will wait until the patch comes out. I’ve tried the recommendations that people have posted about unpairing and setting it up as a new watch with no complications. it’s still doing a rapid drain. Really surprised that this one got past apples QA team when testing the final release.
