Hi,

I’ll start by saying that i absolutely love this phone, but I’m frustrated of the battery life that it makes me look into buying a newer phone, which is money i don’t really want to spend right now, and other than the battery i see no reason to upgrade to be honest.

I am in the annoying situation where the screen time is not horribly low, but it is also not quite enough, I’m getting around 3.5-4 hours on average.

I’ve been looking for a battery replacement (for self-repair) for ages but couldn’t find a fresh one (2021 onwards), or one that isn’t a knockoff. I don’t necessarily need an original Samsung battery, it can be a 3rd party, but I’ve heard that some people did battery replacement, even officially at Samsung’s and the replacement battery was 70-80% health, which is ok for someone whose battery is totally dead, but for my situation it will not help a lot since my battery is still useable.

I appreciate any comment, help and insights,

Thank you

I have the same phone and i get like 3h SOT. I have however embraced the wireless charging lifestyle and that keeps my battery nicely topped up throughout the day.

Just get one for your workplace, one for your car, one for the couch, etc. For travelling i pack a battery bank anyway

I still have my S20+, but is no longer my daily driver. The battery drain is so bad, that when I was still using it, I had to charge it twice a day. Changed the battery and factory reset the phone: 3 hours SoT at best.

I gave up and bought an iPhone 14 Pro Max. Out of the box it had like 65% battery, and during the setup (i installed the necessary applications and stuff) between 65% and 15% I i got 7 hours of SoT without dark mode.

I don’t use the phone much, i just listen to music and browse the internet ~3 hours / day. In 2 days of use the battery drop from 100% to 45%. I could easily last another day.

So from 4 charges in 2 days on the Samsung, I just need to charge the phone every 3 days now. Quite insane.

is your phone exynos or snapdragon? bc exynos dont have good battery life to begin with. exynos 990 is… well bad to the core. so replacing battery yeah, it will improve but prolly not as much as you hope. snapdragon version tho, yeah go for it. its a still good phone, i owned it for good 1.5 years
