I have a 64gb deck with a 512gb ssd. I’m wanting to play both GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2. I own both of these games on Steam. I’ve already downloaded the rockstar launcher to the deck in desktop mode, but I’m still struggling to get the activation codes to activate the games, since the deck doesn’t sense that they are installed.

I’ve seen in other discussions that you need a Windows laptop to activate the games for the first time, before then playing on deck. I only have an M2 MacBook, and there doesn’t seem to be a Mac version of rockstar games launcher.

Is there any way I can play these games without having access to a Windows laptop initially?

    I have RDR2 and all I had to do was to log into Rockstar account, I haven’t used any other device for activation. It was the same for GTA IV, idk how about GTA V on Steam because I have this one on Epic, but I also had no problems with it on Deck, and I also activated it on Deck, because when I got it for free some time ago I had a potato PC and didn’t even attempted to install it before getting Deck.
