I think it’s understandable that a lot of them want to defend the current largest and most powerful Asian country. A lot of Chinese exchange students are heavily nationalistic due to extremely nationalistic media. They are also generally children whose parents are high ranking party members. So that’s why you’ll see some people on here with poor English defending China to the death.
