I see a lot of micro SD card options where the prices range from about 30 bucks to $130. I don’t think I want to pay that high of a price for 1 TB, but I also don’t trust those skeptically low prices either. I also understand that read speed can be a factor as well. Anyone have brands that they use and are relatively affordable?

Well … You can get a 1TB SSD for about 90$. Why not upgrade this? Or how about you buy two with 500GB. Often prices are better and switching sds on Deck is no concern.

Wait for black friday, they go on sale. But even then, if you want a reputable vendor with performance, you are going to be paying 80+ for 1TB.

I would not recommend buying SD cards from unknown brands. Stick with Samsung, SanDisk, Kingston and Crucial, I believe PNY is reputable as well.
