It’s extremely buggy and laggy. Most of the time it doesn’t even show up and I have to re-toggle it in the settings to get it to show up again. Is this stuff even tested anymore??
The spec for HDMI-CEC which this feature relies on is already very poorly implemented by many manufacturers so I’m not surprised that this feature is going to be hit and miss depending on the devices it has to work with. I have a Sony TV and A/V receiver and it doesn’t even show up for me at all.
What’s the point of being a Karen?
Sonos users, can you let us know us know how this new OSD is working? Currently on a work trip and hope this will help the gf get a visual volume indicator.
Terrible, it’s very slow and buggy
That’s unfortunate, she’s gonna hate it.
Same here, laggy and flickery. But it’s better than the pointless graphic my LG showed before.
Quite laggy. Hope they can improve on it, but I had absolutely no indicator before this.
not sure where you are having issues? I assume if you dont see the volume control then your display or reciever is acting as the volume regulator.
What’s this on screen volume display?
Is this it?
Because I followed u/gcerullo instructions and the menu option isn’t there for me.
But these volume displays have been there since I bought my HonePods 5-6 months ago.
it doesn’t show the number of the volume so what’s the point of having it ?
