I’m really excited about the new OLED model, however I’ve grown accustomed to the look of my modified deck with a white shell.
Is there even the slightest chance that the shells are still compatible after the redesign?
Size wise, yeah probably.
The issue is all the mounting points. Apparently the internal layout changed enough that some third party replacement parts are not cross compatible.
Hi I’m the same I modded mine with the extreme shell (pink/white). I have read though that the new deck is slightly different shaped (same length but thinner?) and the joysticks stick out more so I’m not sure, also curious.
Rear covers will be (mostly - a minor additional part inside) compatible. Top covers will not be, too much under-the-hood changes made this not able to happen. I’m sure these companies will make new molds for the OLED model.
