Currently own an iPhone XS and want to make the jump to android, I’ve settled on a Samsung but I’m unsure which to get (I’ll be buying refurbished, if that matters)

Eyeing up the 23, 23 plus and ultra, really don’t know if the plus and ultra are worth the extra money over the base model?

Any input and advice is welcomed as I know next to nothing about Samsungs it android, been an iPhone user for as long as they’ve been a thing but it’s time to leave them behind for a better phone!

    If you go s21,or s22.

Only thing being is they’ll have done a lot of charge cycles and you won’t know how many.

So maybe budget for a battery at some point.

Also to make my phones last I turn on the 85pc protect battery feature and once a week let it go to 100.

Usually get a full day outta my s23u.

Wait for the 24Ultra. It will be quite expensive but worth every dollar. Camera is amazing and super fast . I have the S22Ultra and its the best phone

S24 will be out early next year so maybe wait a bit longer even if you decide to get the S23 it will be cheaper because of the S24 release :)

S23U is the best Android phone on the market but the S24U arrives in January. If you like folding phones the Flip is sweet.

The phone I would pick next would be an iPhone.

    After that the S23+/S24+.

    After that a Pixel.

Samsung sometimes have crazy deals where you can get a brand new flagship phone for maybe 500.

Wait for cash back and trade in deals.

To answer your question depends on what matters for you, and your needs.

Samsung is the iphone of the andoid world. It has, by far, the cleanest and sharpest looking UI relative to other androids. Base S23 is good enough if you prefer a compact feel like an iphone.

I’m assuming you meant this as a compliment, but I think to most Android enthusiasts, that would be an insult. Personally, I do think that comparing UI/UX of Android to iOS is akin to comparing an adult to a child, you can put iOS skin on Android devices word for word down to the pixel.

What does “the iPhone of the android world” mean to you? To me it means most people pick it, because it seems like the most common choice. Not the best, just the most common

S23U for everything top range including battery and camera.

S23 regular if you want a smaller phone or + if you want a slighter bigger phone with better battery and rounded corners.

It’s probably hard for you to answer this, but oh well, lets try. I’m using a S23 Ultra and a galaxybook3 pro. I can enable quick share on both then drag all types of files from one screen onto the other to send them and it goes very quickly. Is this done with UWB. Because if not, then what would UWB be for?

I don’t think so, UWB is for finding things like smart tag or your galaxy book nearby, I don’t think UWB would be suitable to transfer pictures

any s23 with 256gb or more storage should be good (disk speed is slower on the 128gb model). s23 base doesn’t have 45w charging. s23 ultra has more megapixels (200mp instead of 50mp) and more zoom (10x zoom instead of 3x zoom), and a tiny bit more battery (300mah) than the s23+. If that’s important go for the ultra. otherwise, go for the s23+ and save some money

If money is not an issue. Or you’re willing to do bill credits(contract) I’d personally go for a S23+. The Ultra seems to be too chunky for my liking. Especially with a case. Mind you this opinion is coming from someone that’s I’m 6’1

My go to recommendation is the s23+. Great preformance, great camera, great battery, great screen. Not everyone needs an ultra. The only difference between the plus and the ultra that matter are the 10x optical camera, spen, and boxier design. Other than that for most people they are the same. Save your money from the ultra get the s23+

Base s series is the best for those just getting into samsung or android for that matter
