I have a 7-8 month old LCD SD and I have zero GAS on the new OLED, but honestly, if I was you, I’d ship it straight back, no hesitation and slightly peeved at wasting time.
I placed my order on the 2nd and got it the 8th. The the announcement was yesterday. I just emailed support to see if they’d refund the difference in what I paid vs the new price. Fingers crossed.
Frankly, if they do the partial refund I’ll 100% use the $200 to go towards a new one.
Exactly the old steam deck will give you everything you need . But you would be dumb not to pick the newer model of you got the chance I can’t see a downside with newer OLED screens (less chance of image retention compared to 2018 olds) . Just on battery life alone is worth it

Me too 7-8months with a 512gb LCD… but I want that OLED!
I’m more so peeved that the 512 LCD is so much cheaper now! If only i waited a few more months…
