because people have reported better performance on the Oled models than the LCD ones, do you guy think valve will make a seperate label for games in case they don’t run on the older models?

    Absolutely not. One, the performance difference is only slightly better. Not enough to make a real difference in the overall playability of a game. There’s not going to situations where it won’t run on the OG Deck, but will on the OLED. Second, Valve has explicitly said they don’t want to confuse the target for developers. They could have dropped in a Z1 Extreme in the OLED Deck, but intentionally did not. In fact, I would expect the verified status to remain based on the testing with the original model, and then if it happens to perform a little better one the OLED great, but it won’t be verified unless it can play great on any Deck.

    No. Despite the hardware improvements, it’s still fundamentally the same device

    No. The performance difference is due to less overhead, the device still has the same overall specs and performance profile. Some of you guys really go overboard with the tiniest of things.
