I’m honestly so frustrated. I bought a Steam Deck prior to a long trip to South East Asia from the Western United States. It worked awesome for about a week prior to the flight. In literally the beginning of the flight while playing Spider-Man Miles Morales my GPU started maxing out and my frames dropped to 1 before the system crashed. It has been unplayable since. I tried every solution I could come across online and even a factory reset, but it’s unusable. I’ve been lugging an expensive paper weight all across the country.

When I return I will need to start a process to return/repair with Valve. Now that there’s a newer and better option coming out for basically the same price, do you think there’s any shot I could pay the difference to just upgrade? This new version would just be a slight bummer if it wasn’t for the fact that I literally only bought the LCD deck for this trip. Am I shit out of luck? I do like the LCD version just fine when it is working, but man this is the cherry on top of a bummer cake.

I’m going to write a hell of an email and try anyways I guess. To be clear if my original deck didn’t break pretty much right away I wouldn’t have even thought about asking. Thanks for the heads up
