I have a Logitech G Pro wireless mouse. I love it. It’s smooth, comfortable, lights up and works with all my OSes. I also have a ThinkPad T-something-or-other. It has a fingerprint sensor with Windows Hello. I also love that. I want to make something where I combine a thin fingerprint reader with my mouse to use on my PC, so that signing in will be easy for mw and hard for others.

I know that this is far-fetched, but:

Is this possible?
If so, How?

    Wireless mice don’t implement a proper serial standard, like USB, for their wireless connection. They use a bespoke communication protocol that only implements the needed commands.
