I am actually on the fence on whether to get a steam deck oled or rog ally? Few days ago, I thought I would go with ally but with the new improvements on deck, I am confused! Almost all of my PC library is on steam but the things that pull me away from deck is ability to play occasional gamepass games, epic store, Ubisoft and thinking that 1080p could look better than 800p OLED screen.

I know one can add the other launchers and get the games running (did do that on my previous deck) but it’s not seamless and smooth experience. I did also love decky loader on deck, btw. So yeah those are some confusions. Hopefully, people’s comments can help me make a decision! Thank you!

PS: I have a very powerful PC so I am mainly interested in a handheld for indie games, occasional AA games, old AAA and occasional emulation.
