Hi! Just bought This TV which of course has no headphone jack. I’ve an old Bose 2.1 analog system which I’d like to connect but I dunno how. I saw that there are some adapters which outputs an optical cable (which port tv has) but I’d like some suggestions about which solution is the best! Thanks a lot.

We had a set up like that with the original Bose system until a few weeks ago! We purchased this converter: link.

Then we ran an optical cable from the TV into the converter, and 2 RCA cables from the converter to the Bose subwoofer. Plus of course connected the small Bose controller/receiver to the subwoofer as well.

You may need to adjust the digital audio delay on your TV to sync it with the video.

    Cheers!

This looks exactly the config I need! I read somewhere that some tv channeles use different audio codecs (?) so I may have some muted channels. Hope they got a “standard” to avoid this.
