Planning on upgrading the cpu as it’s the only part of my build that I haven’t in a long time. But a bit lost on what the upgrade should be. Is the 13400F a decent jump in performance from the 8700? Is paying 60 usd more for the 13400F over the 12400F worth it or is its price to performance not justified?

What about the 13500? Is it worth paying 110 usd more for it over the 12400F?

And what mobo will pair well with it? DDR4 as I want to reuse the memory I already have

    One thing to also consider is that the 12400f is likely good enough for now. In a couple of years if it’s struggling a bit, you’d have a decent number of options for used LGA1700 CPU’s that would just drop right in.
