I really love wearing my Apple Watch but also think the style of an automatic watch looks better. Would it be silly to wear in both hands ??

Yeah it looks stupid as shit. When you wear a fancy traditional watch (like a Rolex) you can say that it’s because you want to know the time accurately and it’s not just a status symbol. Wear two and it becomes a status symbol

Let’s not pretend a Rolex isn’t a status symbol and that expensive watches are bought because people need to know the time precisely.

Only people who scuba dive frequently can really get away with that…

    I double wrist. Proposed explanations:

    1. I am testing the theory of relativity. My right moves like lightning and my left like thunder.

    2. In case I’m lost in the woods alone and want to know what time it is but the battery on one dies and also I’ve forgotten to bring my phone.

    3. It’s a test of how courageous people are to point out a fashion faux pax. Congratulations, you have passed the test and are now a member of the American Courage Society.

    4. I’m a time traveller from the future, and the second watch helps me keep track of my original timeline.

    5. One is for AM and one is for PM.

    6. One is for metric time and the other is imperial.

    7. Depending on which way I stand, one watch catches the sunlight and can be reflected on to the other, making me a human sundial in case both batteries die and also I’m alone in the woods and forgot to bring my phone.

    8. To be obnoxious.

I heard this on the internet, but I heard that people in military do that to keep track of two timezones.

I don’t think that’s how sundials work, but I’m not from 1,000 years ago so I can’t say for sure.

I think people really need to care less about what other people do or wear when it has 0 effect on your life. If he’s happy and not hurting anyone who really cares

People can happily wear what they want, I will still silently think they look like idiots.

I do think a comment above makes sense though that he is wearing the AW for heart monitoring or some such thing.

Also it’s Ric Flair, I don’t think he cares what we think.

I rock an Ultra on one wrist and one of my mechanicals on the other. Fuck it.

He probably wears the Apple Watch for health/heart monitoring and notifications more than time. Gold is for posturing. IMHO

I’ve been double watching for about 3 years now. People get used to seeing you wear both watches and it eventually becomes normal.

I had a conversation with colleagues along these lines the other day. He loves watches, have a collection, but wears the AppleWatch for the functionality. He joked about wearing several up his arm (but he doesn’t).

This is quite common for people with expensive automatics. I do think it’s looks silly personally; I wore my automatic every day and never removed it until I got my Apple Watch, and now I never wear it.
