If I update my iPhone’s iOS through finder, it downloads a large file of 8gb for iOS 17. Does it mean it is reinstalling the entire OS? Is it the same as resetting my phone and restoring it with a backup? I want to try to solve some software issues by reinstalling the entire OS, this is why I ask.
