Hi there! I don’t own a handheld yet, and therefore I don’t really know what I would miss buying a steamdeck. I’m eyeballing the OLED and I think I might get it.

So are there any big downsides to not having windows that you have experienced?

I know there’s workarounds to get windows if I want it, but do I really need it?

    If you’re content with gaming on a Steamdeck only, then there’s no reason to really go for windows. You’d be getting better game compatibility and the ability to Kane your own PC. I’ve been a Max owner for close to a decade and supplemented my gaming needs with a console and now the Steamdeck. I’ve been perfectly happy.
