Since this recent update, my Watch completely drained the battery and will not charge fast like 60%. Anybody else has happened to them?
Not everyone - I do not have any battery problem and even if the problem seemes to be affecting several it’s not that widespread according to the reports out there. Luckily.
I’ve read a lot of posts here regarding terrible battery life on the Ultra, but mine’s fine so far. I last charged the night before to 100% around 10pm, took it off charger and left it overnight before I started to wear it back the next morning around 7am which is still at 100%. Left for work and used it for music for commuting and a mix of notifications and cellular connections. 10hrs later I’m still left with 75%.
It is fine for me 👍
I just got my S9 yesterday and had it on this morning, haven’t really done much with it other than wearing it as usual since I took it off it’s charge at 11.26AM and it’s currently sat at 76%
Upgraded from S4 as barely lasted half a day.
But I’m honestly surprised with the S9 that it’s at 76? or am I just dumb this is considered normal?
I removed all 3rd party apps from 2 different Apple watches (Series 4 and Series 9) and they’ve stabilized, no more drastic battery drain.
The Series 4, I never unpaired/re-paired. Series 9 I unpaired/re-paired twice (before removing apps) and it actually got worse.
What I saw is that it only drains if you only update your watch or your phone. Make sure you update both the it should be resolved
I have updated both and mine drains faster than even 10.01 did
which watch?
Took it out of the charger 2 hours ago and still says 100% will do a workout now and can update you after if anyone is interested
How did it go
My AWU2 dies in 2 hours now after the update
SE2 updated both watch and phone and I’m at 67% after 8 hours. About what I’m used to.
Mine’s been consistently good throughout all the time I’ve owned the AWU (first generation). Bought t pretty much at launch, and really really like battery life. No battery drain through any of the OS versions. Now, iOS 17, was a serious and dangerous DISASTER that affected not only BOTH my iPhones (14 Pro at the time as well as the very first iPhone SE (yes, very first generation)), AS well as all my Apple devices, believe it or not. Somehow if fukced up with my entire AppleID ecosystem. I couldn’t call anyone, ANSWER any calls, in ANY of my devices AT ALL, and yes, that included the AWU, the iPhone SE, my iMac Pro, and my MacBook Pro M1-Pro. Calls would come in, I couldn’t answer them, and at one point the iPhone 14 Pro called 911 and both my emergency contacts. I ended up having one friend hurry over from the gym, thinking I was dying or something, and the other was already driving over. Luckily the first friend got here on time to call the other and explain all was well. The police, somehow, was able to get through. They couldn’t barely hear me, but after me repeating many times over that the iPhone was acting up the cops never showed up at my place. Those were very scary and difficult 2 or three days, until the next update, that automagically fixed everything. But that was it. Never any battery issues.
