Im trying to dedice between a pricey OLED and a cheap refurbished 512 LCD. I wonder how impactful the performance difference is. Would the LCD steam deck be able to match what the OLED can do through overclock and cooling? The DF video showed some small but significant gains, like that Requiem game was much more playable. But i’ve seen others claim there’s hardly any difference. Which is it? I dont care much about the screen or battery life, but would be pretty bummed out if some games are playable on the OLED but not on the LCD. My target would be 720p 30fps. To make a comparison, my modded switch OLED can hold the OC much better than my original model, but unlike the SD, the OC on the switch was always “safe” with a negligible temperature bump on any model, while i understand that the steam deck OC is quite risky.
Wouldn’t burn in only occur if you kept the screen on a stagnant image for like hours?
