Recently I’ve noticed, the back glass on two of my phones has started to come off. Like I can put a fingernail between the frame and the glass and if enough pressure is put, I’m pretty sure I can just remove the back.
It’s happened on my Note9 (backup phone) and now on my S20 Ultra (main). I’ve been using a case on both since I got them. They’ve never had any repairs or anything I think that would make the back glass come off.
Note9 has been dropped a few times but nothing major and my S20 Ultra has never been dropped at all.
Obviously this issue gets worse if the phone heats up if gaming or doing any phone-heating-up activities. Also means I no longer have any water and dust resistance on both of these phones or none that I can trust to keep all that stuff outside the phone.
Surprisingly my old S8, which just sits there, does not exhibit this issue.
I have the same problem. But I’m 90% know why.
The adhesive for the glass will wear out overtime, but will accelerate with addition of heat. I usually use my phone for navigation + placing it directly on my windshield. Hence, my adhesive wear out a lot faster.
Yup I have this problem I have samsung a53 … 1yr old phone
Your battery is swollen due to heat maybe. Have them replaced and add new glue sticks to the back glass.
Note9 maybe. But no way my S20 Ultra already has a swollen battery. It’s only 3 years old and I’ve taken good care of it. Is it not reasonable to expect a battery to last at least 3 years wth
Age does not matter if it got hot during playing, it may swollen after 1 month.
