After months of hype, Humane, a San Francisco-based artificial intelligence company, on Thursday launched its first product: the AI Pin, a digital personal assistant housed in a tiny, square-shaped piece of hardware.
I don’t expect to just not use screens anymore. But they made something for a trend to use the phone less. It’s a mental health thing. Though, it seems impractical now, since the phone is still a do it all in one thing, that anyone would buy this unless they had enough extra money for irrational fashion tech. As soon as we can do what AR goggles can do, on glasses and contacts, we won’t want a phone. It will only be old tech the moment something else fully outdates it.
Why would I ever want to scroll Reddit with such a crappy display? Like, does this company even know what people use their smartphones for?
At best, this is an overpriced and way dumber version of a smartwatch.
