I think iMacs aren’t expected to ever get the Pro or Max variants. They will rather upsell people to a Mac Mini/Mac Studio + Studio Display/Pro Display XDR.
Yeah, they really have said FU to professionals who like working on iMacs, and I won’t ever be buying an Apple display after using my i7 mini with a 70” tv (okay maybe I will one day when I’m not so poor)

I still can’t believe it’s only been 9 months since they released the M2 Pro. Madness.
