I’d say they’ve got about a year or less to make that happen before it releases. If that happens I and others can just get the improved deck instead of switching to PS5

Wrong, they need to make GTA6 run on the Steam Deck. We need better made games, not more powerful hardware to bruteforce through poorly optimized games.

Rockstar showed the first trailer for RDR2 two years and five days before they released the game on consoles. The PC release was one year and ten days after that. If it’s similar to that with GTA6 it’ll be out on PC in Q4 2026. Chances are high that Valve will have released Steam Deck 2 by then and that it’ll be powerful enough to run it.
They need to put a setting in gta 6 that runs on the steam deck. I give them as long as they want to make that happen.
I’m confused why people think gta 6 won’t run on steam deck…it just feels d ride ish?? I mean the steam deck can run dead space. Resident evil. Red dead redemption 2 and other things fine. On medium to high settings lol
Gta 6 uses the same engine. And is made for current hardware…so can someone explain why people thank it won’t be able to cut it?? Any game out on the ps5 the deck can run at least in the low medium settings. And by time the ps6 comes out we will have a steam deck 2. I’m so so confused
