So yeah I’m kinda curious what game has given people the longest period they’ve been able to play on SD without needing to plug the charger in. For me, it doesn’t matter if it’s a AAA game, AA or some indie pixelated game that only a couple MB of storage. Most game last a couple minutes, maybe an hour, but it burns out pretty quick. It’s understandable because the SD is doing a lot and they can be taxing but I’m curious how long someone’s managed to last unplugged. Also if there are any ways to improve it outside of getting a portable charger

If you exclude emulating really old systems, then you’re looking for games which are pretty “static” in nature:

    - Loads of point 'n clicks will easily net you 6 - 7 hours of battery: The Blackwell series, Broken Sword 1+2, Beneath a Steel Sky, Monkey Island, Unavowed, Gabriel Knight 1…

    - Loads of turn-based RPGs are 5 - 7 hours - the older YS games, the first Trails in the Sky, the older Atelier games, Phantasy Star 4…

    - Strategy games can be anywhere between 4 - 7 depending on settings - the Shadowrun series, The Battle of Polytopia, Gamedec, the older Civs and Xcom games…

    - Puzzle games easy 5 - 7 - Hexoloxic, Murder by Numbers, klocki, Evan’s Remains, The Room series…

    - And a never-ending list of visual novels covering multiple genres and themes…
