I’m thinking of getting one of these controllers since they have the trackpad and gyro. They’re the closest thing to a Steam Controller you can get without paying an arm and a leg in those departments.
The PS4 controller is cheaper though so I want to get that one. Would I be missing out on anything if I got that instead?
I can’t confirm it’s 100% true but I read that all those adaptive triggers and fancy haptics stuff works only with wired connection.
Not much, save your $ bro.
If you have large hands or tend to be rough with your controllers you should invest the extra money into a PS5 controller. If you have smaller hands a PS4 might be more comfy.
In addition to what others have said, the trackpad on the dualsense can work as a mouse with the deck. Im not sure how practical it is though.
DS4 is an inferior controller IMO. It has an awful recessed start button that is annoying to press. Short, slippery control sticks and small grips that are not very ergonomic for adult hands. One of the rumble motors in my DS4 failed after a year of use and rattled so badly I just had to disable the feature altogether.
The Dualsense fixed all these issues and has usb c charging. I would definitely spend the money.
Not really, other than having a dog shit touch pad for the rare occasion you need one for a few seconds. That and the triggers as others have said, but I personally recommend almost anything else, the battery life is a joke. Something like 6-8 hours tops in my experience. The 8BitDo Ultimate wireless is good, I have that too and much prefer it, idk how long the battery lasts but I’ve had it a year and have only charged it once for roughly 40 hours of game time.
You can get a dualsense on Amazon for $50.
