My sister sent me just the 😳 emoji and it shows as a black face. I went through every other face emoji individually and none of the others show as this. Is it an homage to William H. Wests’ Big Minstrel Jubilee? It seems to be the only face that looks like his signature makeup.

    I’m not familiar with emojis as I dont use them but can’t you set the tone of your emojis to whatever skin colour you’d like? She set it to black and you’ll get it like that?

      Not for the standard faces like 🙂😆😐🙁. Just the ones that looks like people. I think we found that it’s a Google Messenger app issue. Not a Samsung or android thing. You can see what it looks like in a picture someone else posted.
