Hey!

Oneplus 9 pro user here, I’ve been waiting for s24u release because I’ve got tired of one+'s bugs. I was pretty sure to go for s24u, but now I could get s23u for 940euro’s through samsung and s24u would probably sit somewhere around 1500e. I’m not a heavy user and don’t game on phones but appreciate a good camera and seamless working through multiple BT devices (watch, headphones, android auto etc.).

Price mostly isn’t an issue but would I get value for money by going s24u instead of saving 500e and going one gen older? I know there’s only leaks yet but will there be any noticeable differences instead minor upgrades.

Thank you in advance, i’m not an expert regarding to phone specs.

There’s rumors that the Snapdragon 8gen3 will have onboard AI call translation, and other AI features. S24U will have a 5x optical zoom instead of 10x, but supposedly the in-between zoom are going to be better.

I would just wait for the S24U if price isn’t an issue for you.

I bought the S23U for a good price used for a month mint. If you can find a good deal, it’s worth it, in my opinion.

Wait until the S24U launches and make a decision then. I don’t think the new generation could justify its price difference, specially considering how great the S23 lineup has been with that Snapdragon 8Gen2. Also if price isn’t an issue, you could buy a Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds with the money you’re saving by buying the S23U instead of the S24U.
