    why not just get a 5800x3d and limit it manually? i cant imagine the 5700x3d will be that much cheaper anyway.

      I’m not too keen on relying on PBO2-Tuner (software). And so far it has been next to impossible (work in progress) to find out if my motherboard actually supports curve optimizer for this specific CPU in bios.

          Probably yes. But if the 5700x3D is a 65w tdp part having a working curve optimizer is less paramount.

            You can just lower PPT TDC EDC if nothing else, you’ll get better boost on a 5800x3d that way.

            Curve optimizer is there to reduce heat and increase boost, but if you buy a 5700x3d you seem to lose a lot of boost, so even a shittily tuned 5800x3d should stay at 4.1ghz all core without much headache.
