DO NOT TRUST ANYONE ON MARKETPLACE LIKE SERIOUSLY JUST DON’T
Stop trusting or contacting people on Facebook Marketplace who’s profile has zero info (friend’s/ description/ info etc) and has joined Facebook from 2020-current year people with these kind of profiles are usually scammers and plus never buy iPhone or anything that brand new sealed from marketplace unless you open it in front them before paying and checking the product you are about to get also a key info never ever do PayPal/ bank transfer methods on Facebook as 100% reliability maybe use these methods if you’re really desperate
(PLUS THERE HAS BEEN FEW INCIDENTS WHERE PEOPLE SELLING STUFF ON FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE TELLS/ ASK CUSTOMERS TO COME TO A PLACE OF THEIR GIVEN FOR COLLECTION AND EITHER ROB THEM OR WORST CASE SCENARIO STAB SOMEONE FOR A FEW BRITISH POUNDS OR DOLLARS DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU LIVE)
hopefully my comment eventually gets picked on and people starts taking protocols before buying stuff from marketplace
PLEASE BE CAREFUL FROM THESE KIND OF FRAUDS AND SCAMMERS
I mean I’m usually extremely careful. The only time I got ‘finessed’ was on letgo. I avoid people who have egoic hoodlum usernames, sell too cheap, etc. I almost sold my iPhone XS once using PayPal, but luckily I got it back (never again with trusting PayPal as a viable alternative to Facebook’s secure payment system). Ive bought an iPhone 6s plus, a 1st Gen iPhone SE, a Samsung Galaxy tab A7 lite, an Apple watch Series 3, a dell latitude 7480, and I’ve flipped phones on marketplace and they have all worked/work great.
