Hi SD owners, since I’m considering to buy the new SD I’ve got some questions to settle my mind:

  1. I live in Italy, how long do you think I’ll have to wait for shipping?
  2. do you use your deck as a media device (yt, streaming etc) and does it have decent battery to do so?
  3. do you use it as a pc at work to do basic office tasks?
  4. is it portable enough to use it in metro or during short public transport rides or do you use it exclusively at home?
  5. what other uses the SD has other than gaming that I can’t think of?

    1. As im not from italy, not sure
    2. No i use only as gaming handheld and occasionally as laptop replacement (i dont have personal laptop)
    3. My deck as laptop is used for some coding task (mainly in typescript). I use distrobox to install ubuntu so all my ubuntu command work perfectly in steam os
    4. Yes it is portable (assuming you also have bag for store the case), i use it while commuting when goes to office daily
    5. For me is coding, i use deck as my personal project workstation when away from home as i dont have personal laptop (and yes this is not recommended as the screen is to small). Sometimes i also use it as my personal pc replacement (power saving, as deck only use 45W adapter), hook it up to monitor using hub, and you good to go
