Have you tried putting the device into battery storage mode and then rebooting the device?
Funny enough my steam dteck that I’ve had for 1.5 years had its touch screen stop working out of nowhere. Doing the battery storage mode then rebooting fixed it for me. If that doesn’t work then yeah definitely return it
Yes I’ve tried that a few times and other solutions. It’s crazy because the deck looks in pristine condition, all the physical buttons and touch pad work, but the touch screen is completely not working at all. So strange.
