Is it possible to create a shortcut to launcher-based games so that the game itself shows up in the Steam library on the Deck?
For example, I have installed the GOG Galaxy launcher onto my Deck (I was having tons of issues with Heroic Launcher so put Galaxy on my system instead) - how can I put my GOG games directly into the Steam library so that it still opens up through the launcher (so I can still benefit from cloud saves) without having to first open the GOG launcher and open the game from there? Hopefully this question makes sense.
If I add the .exe file directly into my library, it doesn’t open up through GOG Galaxy and then I can’t get cloud saves, which is less than ideal. Obviously it’s not the end of the world to just open Galaxy and then open my games from there but it would be nice to not have to do that. Thanks in advance. I searched all over and couldn’t find the solution to this.

This is something the OOG Galaxy application would need to offer support for. A bit of searching and it looks like it does not.
It’s worth noting you may not need to run the GOG Galaxy client for saves but when you change the executable Steam creates a brand new Proton container/prefix to run the game which won’t have any of those support files from outside the game folder from the GOG Galaxy container.
Well … Disclaimer - my videos…
- GOG Galaxy (Part 2) - Create Individual Game Launchers in Steam
- Install and Configure GOG Galaxy + Cyberpunk 2077 (No Lutris or Bottles)
This will get you most of the way there…
