Can i run Emu deck and retrodeck at the same time or is it advised to deinstall emudeck first?
RetroDECK is completely standalone/sandboxed nothing will clash, so I believe they can coexist.
Does Yuzu play games as well as it does with EmuDeck?
Yes, yuzu is yuzu, however in retrodeck everything is tweaked for the best performance. So it might be even better.
A number one, thanks a lot!
How does this compare to Retroarch? I noticed that wasn’t mentioned in the similar software section
Thank you once again, great work!
Very dumb question incoming: how do you update retrodeck? Best to uninstall and download the new version? I downloaded it like a year ago and have a bunch of roms, but haven’t ever updated it. Pretty new to linux.
You can update it from discover, by going into desktop mode.
But if you are coming from a really really old version it might be better to just reinstall.
Thank you for your work 🙏
Does it feature an export/import mode for people that use emudeck? For instance if you have your whole setup in yuzu and other emulators can it grab your roms, tweaks, save files, etc…?
Not automated, but neither that hard to do: I believe the roms folders got the same names more or less. About the save/states we split it by system and emulator: to retrieve the structure you could just run a game once, save and understand the path, it’s pretty straightforward. However if somone wishes to contribute a migration script it would be great.
